Southernmost prefecture of the Galenian Island chain. The land here is flat and sprawling, full of lakes, and rivers. The ocean waters off the coast here are smooth, with fair winds. This is the most prosperous region, full of merchants and resorts.

Galen's southwestern prefecture. Although it's back in the woods a bit, this is Galen's main center of military technology and training, as well as a key industry area. It also boasts many old ruins, and large cities.

Galen's northwestern territory. This area is rugged, and mostly deserted, except for a few hardy individuals. There are no large cities, only small, rural outposts. Mining and quarrying are the only true industries, but there is also a strong military presence, including several bases high in the mountains.

Galen's northern prefecture. Rumor says that this region is shrouded in a dark, violet haze, through which no sun shines. In reality, very few people venture so far into the darkness under the mountains - stories of ghosts keep them at bay.

Galen's northeastern territory. This region is pocked by volcanic craters, and surrounded by a ring of volcanic mountains. Rivers of molten rock flow across the regions inner parts, and hot gases escape the earth. Nonetheless, the more stable areas are prized as resorts - valuable for their hot springs.

Galen's central region, and center of government. The entire region is a single, massive city, covering over 7500 square miles.
